We have had an eventful couple of weeks with our group. It's the season for our garden visits and also fitting in our monthly meetings. We have visited two gardens over the last two weeks. One was in Hildenborough where Mr and Mrs Esdale showed us around their beautiful garden where they have spent years of loving care to get it to such a standard.
On Tuesday we had our monthly meeting and we were in Margaret’s garden what a treat. She has a beautiful garden and it backs on to a lovely walk that she took us on down as far as the river. What more could you ask for - lovely weather and a beautiful garden to have our meeting with coffee and sausage rolls on the patio overlooking an orchard.
We visited the Blacksmith Arms in Cudham Lane South. It is in the yellow book and the garden is the garden of the Blacksmith Arms Pub. The landlady does it herself and we have never seen so many beautiful hanging baskets as she has. We all said we would be proud to have just one of them. She must have had at least twenty five. We had a nice lunch there and again the weather was kind to us.
