Two Latin Groups

Visiting the Roman Bath House at Billingsgate
There are two Latin classes which started in January 2018. One for beginners which meets weekly: the other for those with some experience, however long ago!, which meets fortnightly. Both have finished the first text book- Four to go!

On the cultural side, we have enjoyed a Latin lunch with a Roman exhibit comprising 2 inch nails dug up in 1959 from a cache near Dunkeld on the river Tay. This consisted of 10 tons of material buried near a local fort.

More recently, we visited the remains of a Roman bath house, nearly 2000 years old, at Billingsgate where we had a conducted tour.
