Third Age Rockers get Comfortably Numb
on the Stairway to Heaven
Third Age Rockers have been to two outstanding gigs recently. Try and catch these bands if you get the chance.
Firstly the Led Zeppelin tribute band Letz Zep http://www.letzzep.com played at the Stag theatre on Friday night, four group members attended. The standard of musicianship was exceptional, the Jimmy Page character was one of the best guitar players I’ve seen recently with the John Bonham, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones characters also hitting the mark. They played through a catalogue of hits including a perfrect rendition of “Stairway to Heaven”.
Secondly we saw the Australian Pink Floyd tribute band http://www.aussiefloyd.com in Brighton. The show was quite honestly awesome. The scale and quality of the overall presentation was just great, it could have been the original line up it was that good. The Spirograph laser show, inflatable characters and especially the female backing singers was right on the button, the final kicker was participating in the singing of comfortably numb accompanied by the whole audience.
Aussie Floyd will also be appearing at G Live in Guilford on Monday 19th November. Do try to see them if you can.
Don’t forget the Limpsfield British Legion blues night on the 6th December, 8.30pm.
