Short Walks

Short Walk from Chiddingstone Church

Alice kindly organised and led the walk, starting from the new churchyard of Chiddingstone Church. We were a group of more than 20 and as there was another large walking group starting from Chiddingstone parking was interesting! We needed to go quite a long way down the road to find parking spaces.

Alice led us on a very pleasant circular walk, mainly through farmland, crossing the River Eden. We were pleased to see the sheep with their lambs.

The day was not as sunny as the previous few days but was a pleasant temperature for walking. Thankfully, the ground had dried up well and it wasn't too muddy.

We were very grateful that Alice had booked us in for lunch at The Tulip Tree Café in the village. It was extremely busy with a cycling group as well as the other walkers. We, however, had our table waiting for us to enjoy a welcome lunch.

Thanks to Jenny for the photographs.
